TAME THE TERRAIN
Snowmobiling
High atop Casper Mountain in central Wyoming, you’ll find untouched powder, beautifully groomed trails and breathtaking views. If your winter sport of choice is snowmobiling, Casper is the place for you when the snow gets deep.
Snowmobiling is a popular winter sport in Casper for good reason. The Casper Mountain snowmobile trail system has 32 miles of regularly groomed trails as well as extensive ungroomed areas to play and throw around fresh powder. A good place to start is at Beartrap Meadow on Casper Mountain. Many of the area’s trails can be accessed at the nearby trailhead. From there, you can follow well-defined tracks over to Muddy Mountain and drop into some hidden terrain and great backcountry riding.
Learn more about the area, find trail maps and where you can get your trails permit here. Grooming season is typically mid-December through mid-March, conditions permitting.
