Platte River Trails
The legendary North Platte River meanders through Casper, creating a peaceful setting for those who want to be outside for a quiet moment. The Platte River Trail systems form a paved path that follows the river for 11 miles through the Casper community.
The Platte River Trails System is a virtual oasis with tall, old growth trees, wildlife sanctuaries and breathtaking scenery. A literal thread between Casper’s urban and natural landscapes, these trails offer views of the mountain, river and metropolitan skyline from just about anywhere. The trails are complete with interpretive signage, mile markers, wildlife information and public art along the way.
This trail system is free for all to use year-round for walking, running, cycling, roller blading and dog walking. Visit the Platte River Trails website for updates, maps and event information.
