Our museum’s “Wyoming in the Great War” the Centennial of our nation’s entrance into the Great War.
The official Opening Reception will be Saturday, April 8, 2017.
9:00 a.m. – Museum doors open to the public.
The first 21 youth aged 12-years and younger will receive a door prize, generously donated by one of our museum’s long-standing volunteers.
10:00 a.m. – Brief Opening Ceremony, Remembrance Invocation given by the daughter of one of our World War I veterans; and opening words by the Curator.
10:45 a.m. – Refreshments will be available- Donuts made from the original Salvation Army Doughnut Dolly recipe of 1917, and of course accompanied by coffee
1:30 p.m.- The Casper Museum Consortium’s Doughboy Footlocker (a traveling exhibit) funded by the Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund, will be unveiled to the public.
4:00 p.m. – Museum doors closed.
This state-level exhibit will remain open in the Kading Gallery through at least November 11, 2018!
