A fun-filled, family friendly event for lovers of acoustic old-time fiddle & country music.
The 28th Annual Rocky Mountain Regional Fiddle Championships & Music Festival includes a Friday night informal jam session that occurs as musicians arrive and gather, Saturday musicians will compete in categories for fiddle, guitar, variety instruments & vocals for all ages and abilities.
Fiddle categories include Small Fry (8 & under), Junior-Junior (9-12), Junior (13-17), Young Adult (18-36), Adult (37-59), Senior (60-69), Senior-Senior (70 & over), Grand Champion (open to all ages), Twin Fiddle & Novice. Age categories & grand champion fiddle category are nationally certified.
Musicians are vying for over $4100 in awards!
Sunday morning mandolin & vocal workshops will be presented by Laramie musician & songwriter, Bill McKay. The cost is $25 per person, per workshop. Additional workshops may be added.
This event is funded in part by the Wyoming Arts Council through the National Endowment for the Arts and the Wyoming State Legislature.
Friday evening – Jam session as musicians gather
Saturday – 9 a.m. music competition & entertainment throughout the day and evening with breaks for lunch & dinner
Saturday – 5 p.m. Buffet Dinner – $16.50 – reservations & payment required by July 18.
Sunday – 8 a.m. – music workshops for mandolin, vocals & possibly more
