Description

Cultivate a life on the plains at the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center on Saturday, June 23 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. during the free interactive youth program, “Homesteading.”
Pioneers went west to establish new homes on the plains. Would you be a successful Wyoming homesteader? Join us in a fun simulation of the necessary steps for gaining your 160 acres of free land. Be prepared to survey the land, build a home, and make new friends.
Saturday youth programs emphasize hands-on learning. They will run from June 2 through Aug. 18 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and are free to the public. Parents of young children must accompany students throughout the program. For more information, please contact Stacey Moore at the NHTIC by calling (307) 261-7780.
