Description

The wildlife and landscape of the west was often narrated in pioneer journals. Join NHTIC volunteer Mike Bardgett as he explores a local landmark during “Flora and Fauna of Independence Rock” at 1 p.m., Saturday, September 8. As one of the most known and documented landmarks along the historic pioneer trails, Independence Rock can still be seen in its entire splendor. Bardgett will share a brief description of the plants and animals observed at the Rock.

The NHTIC proudly presents a summer of free afternoon programs on pioneer and Wyoming history. These short interpretive programs, ranging from 20 to 45 minutes, are free and open to the public.
