Perhaps when you think of the middle of Wyoming, amazing food, beer and cocktails aren’t the first thing that come to mind. But Casper’s culinary scene shouldn’t be overlooked. With several new restaurants popping up among long-time favorites, we promise you won’t leave town hungry. We could tell you our favorites, but you don’t have to take our word for it. We’ll let the reviews for a few local hot spots speak for themselves.
Start the Day Off Right: Breakfast
Eggington’s This was absolutely the best breakfast that I have eaten! Pancakes were heavenly , chicken fried steak and gravy were amazing! We will be back again. Brian from Billings, MT (TripAdvisor)
Grant Street Grocery Great stop for healthy food on a long road trip. Super friendly staff, the kids now want to live here. Jesse from Indianapolis, IN (Yelp)
Johnny J’s Diner We got exactly what we expected and what we wanted. I had a sandwich and my husband had the hot roast beef sandwich special. The real stars are their shakes. You can get them in every flavor or make up your own combination. It’s hard to find a great shake but they did not disappoint! Sherri, Saginaw, MI (TripAdvisor)
The Cottage I love this place, I dream about the Hawaiian Pork Tacos! I’m addicted to everything on the menu and the best part is the service. Mariah from Casper, WY (TripAdvisor)
Branding Iron Wow. The Casper burger: the most original AND delicious burger I’ve ever had. Seriously. Pork belly mac & cheese on a beef/pork/veal patty and just a hint of spice heat?!? Man, am I glad [our server] suggested it as her favorite. Friendly staff and nice venue to enjoy with friends or colleagues after work. Mark from Highlands Ranch, CO.
Racca’s Pizzeria Napoletana Came for lunch after arriving in Casper and we ordered 3 different pizzas. Unbelievable! High quality ingredients, great service. Who knew places like this existed outside of NY?! (Yes, I’m a pizza snob. Deal with it) JT from Baldwin, NY (TripAdvisor)
What’s for Dinner?
Silver Fox Bacon Knots…. Only thing you need to know. Rob from Casper, WY (Google Reivews)
DsasumoVery good food. The drunken noodles are exceptional. The portions are large and the atmosphere is great. Don’t forget to have a Thai tea! Cudica from Cheyenne, WY
Firerock We stumbled upon this restaurant on our one-night stay in Casper while crossing Wyoming. What a gem! All I can say is that we wish this restaurant was in New York. Start to finish, it was perfect. The service was impeccable. We have never tasted warmer, more buttery rolls in our lives. The prime rib melted in my mouth…oh, and you must taste their delicate rice. The ambiance was warm and inviting and the outside terrace had amazing flower pots overflowing with vibrant flowers. What a special dinner this was for us. Highly recommend! “Vacationcrazy47” from Long Island, NY (TripsAdvisor)
Casper’s Coffee Situation
With enough amazing coffee joints to fuel a city much larger than its size, Casper’s coffee scene will delight you.
Top spots include Grant Street Grocery’s Coffee Lab, the iconic Metro Coffee Company, local favorite: Blue Ridge Coffee, It’s a Grind, and City Brew (with two locations!).
