DIRECTOR OF FIRST IMPRESSIONS

The Casper Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is seeking a DIRECTOR OF FIRST IMPRESSIONS to oversee operations and guest services in the Visit Casper Welcome Center at The National Historic Trails Interpretive Center. Primary responsibilities include responding to visitor inquiries, assisting with itinerary planning, inventory management and ensuring all guests receive outstanding customer service.

First point of contact at the Visit Casper Welcome Center inside the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center
Exceptional customer service including timely response to in-person, online and telephone inquiries
Oversee the appearance and organization of the public areas and private storage spaces within the office. Ensure all printed materials and displays within the public area are current and attractively displayed. Reorder and restock brochure racks as necessary.
Greet and assist visitors by providing up-to-date and accurate information on attractions, events, accommodations, points of interest, etc.
Track source and quantity of monthly inquires in appropriate databases. Submit to the Casper Area Convention & Visitors Bureau at the beginning of each month.
Work with the CEO to hire and supervise summer seasonal staff and volunteers as needed
Assist other Convention and Visitors Bureau and National Historic Trails Interpretive Center staff with miscellaneous projects/initiatives
Provide undeniably awesome visitor experiences by maintaining a strong working knowledge of “what to do” and “where to go” in Natrona County and connecting visitors to their areas of interest
Assist with monthly Certified Tourism Ambassador™ training classes at the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center
Other responsibilities as assigned by CEO

REQUIRED:

In-depth knowledge of Natrona County’s businesses, attractions and activities, proven customer service and communication experience, ability to work well with others and resolve conflicts, comfortable with MS Office. Must be able to physically stand for long periods of time and lift and carry boxes up to 35 pounds. Must be/become a Certified Tourism Ambassador™.
