It’s open season for adventure.
In addition to the large pronghorn population (the fastest mammal in North America), elk, deer, duck, geese, pheasant and dove are all bountiful, making it one of the top places in the country for game hunting. West of Casper is ideal because of abundant public land. The Bates Hole area, the second range of the Hat Six area, and northeast of Casper in the sand hills are excellent mule deer hunting grounds. The climate is hunter-friendly, since Casper issues plentiful tags and boasts the area’s top guides, which naturally leads to huge success rates for our guests. To make your excursion successful and stress free, Casper has several supply stores and outfitters, as well as taxidermists and meat processing facilities. So brew up a thermos of hot coffee and put on your orange vest — it’s open season for adventure. For more information about area hunting rules and tags, contact the Wyoming Game and Fish Department.
