For an easily accessible in-town trail ridable year-round, hop on the Crossroads trail beginning at Mike Lansing Field. Near the downtown area and several Casper hotels, this single track, dirt trail is ideal for beginner to intermediate levels. Flowy, fast and smooth, beginners will feel comfortable cruising through this scenic area along the North Platte River while more advanced riders can push themselves by speeding through corners and hitting small bumps and jumps along the way.
“Flowy, fast and smooth…”
This is a fast trail, and you can expect to complete the roughly 5 miles in around 30 minutes, but if you make your way to the paved trails, you can head all the way out to Paradise Valley. Whether you’re biking Casper during the summer months (and if you do, plan to bring your fly rod to fish the North Platte since this area is all public access fishing) or three inches of snow falls during your visit, the Crossroads Trail is a convenient, all-levels ride.
