August 18-21, 2017
Casper, Wyoming sits directly on the center line of the total solar eclipse happening Monday, August 21, 2017. Hailed as a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ viewing experience, our great City was dubbed ‘the best place to view the eclipse’ because of our high probability of clear skies and our proximity to the center line. Because of this, we were also selected as the host city for the 2017 ASTROCON Conference, an annual convention of the Astronomical League.
Our area will be bursting with activity August 18 – 21, 2017. In addition to live music, art and activities downtown, you can also expect concerts, live outdoor music, fun runs, a brew fest, a golf tournament and more. Several communities along the I-25 corridor are also planning events ranging from street fairs to the Wyoming State Fair in Douglas, Wyoming. Check back frequently for an updated list of events or to purchase tickets.
