Tessellations are arrangements of shapes closely fitted together, especially polygons, in a repeated pattern without gaps or overlap. Join the Science Zone in May as we celebrate nature’s own master tessellation designer, the honey bee. Learn about honey bees and honey combs, and practice making your own beautiful tessellated designs.

Oil City takes over the future home of Frontier Brewing Company (formerly Wolford’s Shoes) for a special evening of art, craft beer, live music and all things Eclipse during the ArtWalk on Thursday, May 4th, 2017. Doors open at 4pm with a special presentation of ZAK PULLEN’S new Eclipse-themed painting “The Herdsman at High Noon” at 6pm. Following the presentation, Zak will be on hand to sign limited edition prints, posters and other items featuring his iconic image for the 2017 Wyoming Eclipse celebration. Representatives from the WYOMING ECLIPSE FESTIVAL will also be on hand to answer your questions about the upcoming celestial event. And don’t miss the craft beer garden AND live music from local favorite JOHN KIRLIN until 10pm (or until the beer runs out)!
