TRAVEL UPDATES FOR COVID-19 

As of Tuesday, March 16th, the statewide mask mandate as well as all restrictions on restaurants, bars, gyms, theatres etc. have been lifted by the State of Wyoming. Wyoming and Casper are open to visitors and no quarantine requirements are in place for any out-of-state travelers. However, the health, safety and well-being of Wyoming residents and visitors are of the highest priority. If you plan to travel to Wyoming and don’t feel well, please reschedule your visit for a later date. The latest information related to travel from the CDC can be found here

Are face coverings required?

As of Tuesday, March 16th, the statewide mask mandate has been lifted by the State of Wyoming. The decision to wear and enforce a mask is up to an individual's discretion. However, we strongly recommend researching a business or attraction's protocols before visiting as many businesses do require masks be worn by all and/or unvaccinated individuals.

Are hotels and campgrounds open and accepting reservations?

Casper's hotels and campgrounds are all open and safely welcoming visitors and future reservations. Click here to learn more about what Casper's hotels are doing to keep guests safe and comfortable. 

Are museums, visitor centers and retail shops open?

Yes, Casper area museums, retail stores, restaurants and other attractions are open. The Casper Area Visitor Center and the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center are open and welcoming visitors. Travelers in Casper may also stop by the Visit Casper office (139 W. 2nd St, Suite 1B) for visitor information Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. We strongly advise researching attractions' hours and protocols before your visit by visiting their website or social media pages. 

Dining in Casper

Casper's restaurants, bars and tasting rooms are offering in-restaurant dining as well as delivery and take-out. There are currently no restrictions enforced by the State of Wyoming. 

Indoor Gatherings 


Restrictions on indoor gatherings with less than 500 people have been removed as of March 16th, 2021; while indoor events of more than 500 people must be held at no more than 50% capacity. 

Outdoor Recreation

Getting to Casper 

There are currently no travel restrictions in the state of Wyoming or Natrona County.

Casper/Natrona County International Airport continues to welcome daily flights from Denver and Salt Lake, with car rentals available at the airport.

Additional Information for travelers 

- Be sure to follow all CDC, state and local health guidelines.
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water.
- If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer. 
- Continue to practice social distancing by staying 6 feet away from people outside of your travel party.
